Hi Catherine,

I was interested to read about this engaging way to explore the roles of people who help children in schools - it sounds like a really meaningful exercise. I work for Enquire, the Scottish advice service for additional support for learning. We're aware that it's hard for young people to ask for help when they need it - it can be embarrassing and they are often not sure who to approach or how to start the conversation. I'm sure your project will have really helped the children involved.

We have a guide for young people called 'People who can help you in and out of school' and I wondered if the group would be interested in looking at it as part of their project. It's broadly aimed at older primary and secondary pupils (I'm not sure how old your group is). They can download it from http://www.enquire.org.uk/youngpeople/downloads.html or, if you would like to order copies of the booklets or audio CD, please get in touch.

All the best,
Katy
